Vucic presents "ideas for BiH" to Macron, opposes arrest of Dodik

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that he discussed numerous issues with French President Emmanuel Macron, primarily Serbia's European future, but also issues related to the "Expo" 2027. He once again intervened in the internal affairs of the independent and sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, presenting, as he says, his initiatives and ideas.
He asked France to participate in the Expo, and they also discussed bilateral cooperation, French companies in Serbia, and challenges related to American tariffs.
"France will work on calming the situation in Ukraine. We also talked about the Western Balkans, and I proposed initiatives related to Republika Srpska and BiH. I also said that Serbia has endured terror in the last four months, in a peaceful and democratic manner," said Vucic, as reported by RTRS.
According to him, Macron and he concluded that the world is entering turbulent times, that hard times are ahead, and that we must all prepare for it.
Vucic also said that they discussed Kosovo and that they are "getting closer in their views."
"We don't think the same about Kosovo, but our views are getting closer. Macron is deeply involved in this," Vucic said.
He stated that the "most difficult topic" was the issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that he advocates for a compromise solution.
"This is the toughest issue. I fought to find a compromise solution, because I cannot accept the only solution of arresting Milorad Dodik. That is a catastrophic solution and creates problems. I presented my ideas to Macron, but I don't want to talk about them, it wouldn't be fair to present them publicly," said Vucic.
